What's new with the mobile app?

We're incredibly excited to announce the release of the Modern Campus Involve Mobile App!

An upgrade and refresh of the current Involve app has been requested by many. This FAQ should answer most questions and you can always reach out to support if you need more assistance.

 

 

What’s different?

  • New, modern, single app for all campuses

  • Students can select their campus from a list or see what other campuses are hosting for events

  • A new dashboard and organizations navigation

 

How do I find the app?

  • Search for "Modern Campus Involve" in the Apple or Android store

  • Download!

 

How do I log in?

  • Open Modern Campus Involve (Screenshot 2024-04-02 at 10.27.29 AM.png) on your mobile device
  • Click the three stacked lines (Screenshot 2024-04-02 at 10.27.40 AM.png) on the top left corner of your screen
  • Click "login" (Screenshot 2024-04-02 at 10.27.51 AM.png)
  • Enter your campus credentials
  • Click "Go" (Screenshot 2024-04-02 at 10.28.39 AM.png) on your keyboard

How do I use the app?

  • Select your campus from the search page (your campus will be remembered every time)

  • Navigate through organizations, events, RSVP links, forms, and so much more!

  • Single Sign On integration (SSO)

  • Checkpoint & Digital ID in one application

 

 

FAQ

Can I change the name of the app?

  • Due to app store policies, the app can no longer be custom named, but will continue to have your portal’s branding when you’re on your selected campus.

Is Modern Campus providing marketing materials?

  • Yes! A flyer and email/promotional language will be provided for you to use to spread the word to students. You can also find it at: learn.presence.io

Does the app have all the same functionality as our old app?

  • Yes and more. The new Modern Campus Involve app includes Organizations, Events, and a Dashboard. In addition, Organizations and Events now include all your custom fields.

 

If I've already downloaded the app, do I need to download the new one?

  • Yes. In order to facilitate the upgrades made in the app and remain compliant with app store policies, this is a brand-new app and will need to be downloaded from the appropriate store for your device.

 

Is our old app going away?

  • The original applications (minus Digital ID & Checkpoint) will be removed from the app store on December 31st, 2022. Your Customer Success Manager will be working with you on a phased transition to the new Modern Campus Involve app and there will be an acknowledgment in your email.

 

What if we don't use the Involve app?

  • You can continue to use and promote other apps on campus that you have integrated Involve events into. The new Modern Campus Involve app will provide the most information and the best experience going forward.

 

Can we restrict students from accessing the Modern Campus Involve app?

  • The Modern Campus Involve app is publicly available in the app stores. Any student could download the app and select your campus, much like any student could visit your Involve portal.

 

What OS versions does the app support?

  • Currently only on phone (tablets coming soon), the app supports iOS 14, 15, and 16 and Android 11, 12, and 13. Phones running older versions can download the app, but those versions are not fully supported.
